P!DLM

Is it scenography, installation art, set and production design for a nonexistent film, or a study of contemporary and traditional alpine architecture? This project can be seen as a narrative device that combines all of the above. Using tools like artificial intelligence, digital fabrication, and ceramics, and employing various media such as models, sketches, technical drawings, and illustrations, the project aims to bring to life the world of the renowned Swiss literary piece “La grande Peur dans la montagne” by Charles Ferdinand Ramuz. The work draws from the original story—a cautionary tale about the conflicts between humanity and nature, modernity and tradition —to explore issues of sustainability, climate change, and greed. Through its artistic interpretation, it vividly portrays the perpetual struggle between human and non-human forces, creating a narrative that resonates with timeless themes and contemporary concerns.
